"Josie" Photoshoot 2

This afternoon after work, Josie and I did another photoshoot. It's been a couple of months since our last one - way to long. Even with the short amount of time we had to shoot before the light vanished, we got some great shots involving a few diferent outfits, ranging from a lovely blue dress that belonged to her grandmother to a leotard and even a hoodie.

The hoodie was a last minute addition as it was getting rather chilly towards the end and we both decided it would be fun to get some photos with that as well. They turned out beautifully.

We are planning another photoshoot soon of a more edgy nature which I am looking foward to.

And finally, a nice quirky one;

"Grace" - Winter Shoot

This morning I woke early to meet up with Grace to do another photoshoot. It was foggy and chilly but the sun was shining so it turned out to be a great morning. We shot in a few new locations and managed to get some fantastic shots again. Not hard with somebody as photogenic as Grace though!!

"Lila" - Winter Photoshoot

Today I had a full day shoot with the lovely Lila again.

She needed some headshots for work and thought we should also spend the day taking photos. We went to various places around the centre of Canberra, including: Lennox Gardens, Yarralumla, Government House driveway, Old Parliament House and the Botanical Gardens.

The theme of this particular photoshoot was jackets, scarves, belts and hats. Jackets being particularly fitting, considering it was a rather overcast, chilly day that was interrupted by rain from time to time. Even so, we managed to get some great photos as usual.

The Presets - AIS Arena

Tonight I was lucky enough to see The Presets (Julian Hamilton & Kim Moyes) perform once again in Canberra. Last time I got to shoot them was at Foreshore at the start of the year.

This particular gig was originally going to be held at the ANU Bar, but due to the massive amount of interest, it was moved to the AIS Arena and made an "All-Ages Gig". This allowed for many more people to fit in, and the event almost sold out again.

There were so many people there, it was crazy. Everybody looked like they were having a great time though. The guys were fantastic, I stayed on and sat in the chairs after I had finished taking photos and watched the rest of the show.

Bud Tingwell

It was with great sadness that I read today of the passing of one of Australia's most interesting actors; Charles "Bud" Tingwell. My best wishes go out to his family and friends at this time. He was an amazing talent and lived a rich 86 years.

I was particularly saddened to hear of the news as I was talking with Bud and his manager Jo for the last two months about organising a photoshoot with him. We were down to working out a date that was good for all of us and for me to get down to Melbourne.

Just goes to show that you should take advantage of everything life gives you and live life to the fullest and don't put things off.

Rest In Peace Bud.
