This was my second time photographing Rob. The previous occasion was about ten years ago so it was great to do it all again.

Today I got to photograph arguably the biggest children's band of all time; The Wiggles.
This may seem like a strange choice given the previous bands I have been lucky enough to photograph. I thought it would be a fun experience to photograph the original lineup before they retire. Love them or hate them, The Wiggles (although not around in my childhood), have been instrumental in a lot of young peoples lives all over the world. - Well done boys!
The gig was actually a lot of fun to shoot and the audience, both young and old obviously enjoyed it.
The Wiggles are known for their bright, bold colours so I am doing the opposite for some of my photos and making them black and white.
The Presets - AIS Arena
Tonight I was lucky enough to see The Presets (Julian Hamilton & Kim Moyes) perform once again in Canberra. Last time I got to shoot them was at Foreshore at the start of the year.
This particular gig was originally going to be held at the ANU Bar, but due to the massive amount of interest, it was moved to the AIS Arena and made an "All-Ages Gig". This allowed for many more people to fit in, and the event almost sold out again.
There were so many people there, it was crazy. Everybody looked like they were having a great time though. The guys were fantastic, I stayed on and sat in the chairs after I had finished taking photos and watched the rest of the show.

Chris Isaak
Tonight I got to take photos of American legend; "Chris Isaak".
He regularly performs here in Canberra and always seems to draw a good crowd. This time was no exception, with the AIS Arena pretty full by the time I arrived to shoot.
I was allowed the usual; "3 Songs, No Flash", but unfortunately Chris doesn't really like having photographers directly in front of him so myself and the Canberra Times photographer had to shoot from off to one side. Not that big an issue with the 70-200mm but the variety of photos was seriously lacking. Lighting was great and so was the performance.
Def Leppard
Tonight I had the fun task of shooting English rockers; Def Leppard. All of us photographers were given tickets (and a plus 1) to see the show and then allowed to shoot 3 songs at the beginning of the set.
I was wondering how good the band would sound nowadays. Let's just say, I was really impressed. They brought out all the classics and threw in a new song or two. It was a great night.
Thommo and a lady from The Canberra Times were in the pit as well. All of us running around like mad things once the show started to try and get the best shots. I think I managed to get some pretty good ones in the end and had a fun night doing it.
