Alice Cooper - Royal Theatre

Tonight I ventured to the Royal Theatre to photograph Alice Cooper on his "Theatre of Death" tour. I have been a fan of Alice's ever since I got a cassette single of "Poison" - one of my all time favourite songs. It was a fantastic production, very theatrical and Alice can still rock rather well.

Got up close and personal and managed to get some great shots of him during the first four songs. A very nice change to the usual three songs that is the norm.

iTunes LIVE: London Festival '09

During July, I had the good fortune to get to see my favourite band; Snow Patrol perform at the iTunes LIVE Festival in London. They were performing as part of a free, month long music festival put on by iTunes at the old "Roundhouse". - A truly amazing venue in it's own right.

Snow Patrol were being supported by one of my other faveourite bands, "Silversun Pickups". It was an awesome night and so much fun seeing the guys perform over in the UK. I didn't have my 30D with me, so I cracked out my trusty IXUS 75 compact and snapped a couple of photos.

The Presets - AIS Arena

Tonight I was lucky enough to see The Presets (Julian Hamilton & Kim Moyes) perform once again in Canberra. Last time I got to shoot them was at Foreshore at the start of the year.

This particular gig was originally going to be held at the ANU Bar, but due to the massive amount of interest, it was moved to the AIS Arena and made an "All-Ages Gig". This allowed for many more people to fit in, and the event almost sold out again.

There were so many people there, it was crazy. Everybody looked like they were having a great time though. The guys were fantastic, I stayed on and sat in the chairs after I had finished taking photos and watched the rest of the show.

Little Birdy @ ANU Bar

Tonight I got to take photos of one of my favorite bands. Last time I saw Little Birdy play was at "The Venue" back in June 2007. They are currently touring to promote their new album; "Confetti". I love this album, the music is a great mixture of their usual style and also has a real soul, 50's, Motown sort of feel to it. They played at the ANU to a full crowd that eagerly awaited hearing the new music being played live.

I really enjoyed the gig, they are always fantastic live, with the band beingfull of energy, especially lead singer/guitarist; Katy Steele.
