Irving Klaw was one of the first fetish photographers and is best known for operating a mail-order business selling photographs and film of attractive women (often in bondage) from the 1940s to the 1960s. Probably his most famous subject was Bettie Page who would go on to become the first famous bondage model.Searching for photoshoot ideas, Ursula, Ivy and myself decided to do a shoot inspired by his style and unique photographs. This is some of what we came up with.
Back in early August I got to spend a bit of time with the awesome & lovely Amy Shira Teitel. We had a fun time running around taking photos in our lunch break. She was in Australia for National Science Week talking about her passion; Space. So, I have some pretty awesome news that I have kept quiet about for a few weeks now.A photo I took of Iva Davies from the band "Icehouse" on their 2012 tour has been chosen for their 40 Years Live promotional material.
It will appear on posters, online and in other forms of advertising for their 40 Years Live Tour.
I am stupidly excited about this after 8 or so years of music photography; it is great to have people like a photo of mine enough to use in this way.
To be involved with a band like this, a band that I have loved and listened to (one of my all time favourite songs is by Icehouse) ever since I was a child, is amazing.
